have gotten bigger for the same displacement. This helps with better power/torque at low RPMs, especially on turbo engines. The spoolup on the GTR is ridiculously quick looking at dyno charts and a lot of it can be attributed to cylinder head design (specifically the ports). For a better comparison, it would be very interesting to compare cylinder heads of the new VR30 to the VG30. A really good example is to compare a 4.3L Vortec V6 from GM circa 2000 to their latest version of this same displacement. Way more power and torque all over the RPM range. It is like the 5.7L V8s of 15 years ago.
